HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .

Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won't make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn't let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can't deny their attraction-or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it's up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.

Book Review

At Last is yet another great read in the Lucky Harbor Series by the talented writer, Jill Shalvis.

Amy Michaels is the waitress at the Eat Me diner ( LOVE the title of this place, don't you?). She has avoided men like the plague and has found a new set of friends (Grace and Mallory) that share her  weakness for all things chocolate. I so wanna be a member of their little group.

Her attraction to Matt Bowers, the sexy park ranger (Ranger Hot Buns), is something that she has hidden from her friends.  Now she finds herself lost in the wilderness and Matt comes to her rescue. What follows is a sizzling sexual chemistry in a itty bitty tent:

She was in the thin baby-blue cheeky-cut panties that she'd gotten in a sale pack of three. Which is where the bad news came in, because they were a lot like wearing nothing. Worse, they said, "booty-licious" across the butt, but luckily he couldn't see that.
There was a beat of complete silence.
And then another.
And then yet another.
Finally, she looked up. Matt was still as stone, his hands on his own thighs, eyes dilated nearly black.
"Matt?"
"Yeah?"
"You okay?"
"Working on it." His voice sounded unusually tight.

Love the tent scene. Matt had some issues with separating the man from his medicinal role after Amy is injured and the sparks fly.

Amy's secret past comes back to haunt her in the form of a new arrival to the sleepy town of Lucky Harbor; a young girl named Riley Taylor, who Matt finds alone in the woods. Riley's past is a mirror reflection of Amy's and she reaches out to help the young runaway. But trust is hard earned after the rough life that Riley is trying to escape from and Amy now finds herself keeping secrets from Matt.

All in all, At Last is a pleasing installment in the Lucky Harbor series that will amuse you, make you laugh out loud, and charm the pants off you--Oh, my bad--Mr. Ranger Hot Buns is the charmer in this storty. And he's very good at it.
