They live by night.
Grace Peterson is desperate, in hiding, and on the run after escaping a shadowy group determined to exploit her extraordinary ability to heal others. Her only lifeline—an unerring telepathic ability she shares with her sister—has been severed, leaving her alone and vulnerable. And time is fast running out...

Enlisted to bring Grace home is Rio, relentless member of the KGI. He’s unprepared for his reaction to this wounded, damaged woman, and he’s fiercely determined to protect her from those who nearly destroyed her. In Rio, she finds a safe haven, and for the first time...hope. But the mission is far from over. The danger Grace has eluded is fast closing in. And now it’s pitching two lovers toward an unfamiliar horizon, with no place left to hide.

Book Review

Oh, boy--I am still recovering from Rio's book. He was yum-scrum-deli-ish with a side of Holy Hell.

There is no slow build-up with this book and it is imperative to have read the KGI Book Four-Whispers In The Dark-before reading this one. Otherwise, expect to be lost. Very lost.

The reader will find his/herself smack dab in the forest along with Grace, Rio and his team, and the bad guys...fighting to stay alive and escape to Belize in order for Grace to recover from her horrific injuries while being held captive. Rio's strength and determination to protect her is fierce, but Grace's raw courage is just as amazing.

We get to learn more about the men of Rio's team and I hope to hell there will be more stories about these Alpha heroes. Their camaraderie, strength, and yeah--muscles out the ying-yang--make me very curious about their futures. ( **Ahem, Maya dear, we need more, lol).

Expect an action-packed ride with a paranormal twist, explosive chemistry, and a sexiness that will leave you breathless.

She had both hands wrapped around him, one around his balls, squeezing and massaging gently, and the other stretched around the base, working up and down in time with her mouth.

"Deeper," he urged. "Take me deep, baby. Hold me there. See how deep you can take me."
Oh, Maya-you do know how to write some wicked delicious scenes.

We get to see a peek of Shades of Gray ( P.J. and Cole's story ) and let me just say-OH HELL--what a story that will be. Can't. Wait.

  1. Great review!!! I love this series!!! I really liked this one but Sam and Sophie's book is my fave so far. I can't wait for PJ and Cole's book -- I almost wish I hadn't read the excerpt in the back because now I want to read it even more then I did before. LOL
