Release Date: August 2012

Mina never meant to fall for her sexy tattoo artist, Eric, or to become a model. But when she's asked to pose in a photo shoot for the Hot Ink tattoo studio, she can't say no. She finally gets a look at Eric's tattoos when they're cajoled into posing together, and in a few breathtaking moments, an on-camera kiss turns the passion they're asked to fake into something very real, leaving them both wanting more. The only problem is that Mina's not the glamour girl she looks like on the Hot Ink posters, or even in a tattoo magazine. She's only twenty-four, but being the sole guardian of her disabled younger sister has left her feeling much older. Will Eric still be interested when he gets to know the girl behind the ink and the make-up and finds out that she and her little sister are a package deal?

Book Review

What can I say? I am a sucker for a tatted hero. I can't really explain the appeal, but my knees knock and I want to jump inside the pages and lick the hero's sexy tatts.

And Eric was no exception.

Mina has a crush on the guy that is doing her tattoo. After several visits to complete the tatt, she is sad to know that she'll never see him again when his work is done. But Eric takes a chance and asks her out for coffee.

Mina is young for her age, but has a very old and mature soul. She has sole custody of her younger sister, Jessie and its been tough to support the two of them. But she would do anything for her sister, even if it means a lackluster social life. She has rarely dated and the jerks she has had in her past have run away when she explains her responsibilities.

But Eric is different and he wants to stick around. He sees something in her that he admires and has fallen quickly for Mina.

Although there really is no twisty surprising plots or action-packed drama, Hot Ink is pretty solid as a romance read. It has very likable characters and an entertaining BFF who made me laugh. It also has a back-stabbing bitch that tries to make Mina's life a living hell at her job.

And Eric is just to-die-for nice and sweet and charming and sports a huge dragon tatt on his back that made me drool a little. It was a heart-warming story with a little steamy on-the-side filled with great sexual chemistry between both Mina and Eric.

A delightful, quick read and I'm glad I discovered this little gem.

My only negative remark that I have and was never really explained was this--Mina has money to get a huge tatt, but she has to take a modeling job to buy her sister a dress for the prom. It seemed like such an irresponsible thing for Mina to have done. I didn't see her as being that selfish.

    1. I will admit to being drawn by the cover, lol. But it was a sweet read. I enjoyed it!
Thanks for stopping by, WD. You make my day.

  2. Maybe the tat was free or it was a barter trade the author failed to mention? JK I love tatted heroes too! Perhaps because I have a couple of those too so I'm biased LOL
