Successful landscape designer Tania Solares prides herself on living by her own terms, relying on no man to provide for her. But her carefully controlled life takes a turn for the extraordinary when her inquiry into the disappearance of her best friend thrusts her between two warring factions of dragon-shifters. Suddenly Tania’s survival depends on Mac, a newly initiated dragon-warrior who will break every rule to keep her safe.

Now that Tania knows the truth about Dragonkind, returning to her old life is too grave a risk. Ivar, leader of the Razorbacks, plots to decimate the human race, and Tania is just the tool he needs. Despite the danger, Mac cannot deny her a choice: Trade the independence she’s fought so hard to achieve for safety in a magical world, or turn her back on the man she’s grown to love in order to reclaim a freedom that might not last? It is an impossible choice. And yet a sacrifice must be made

Book Review:

I freakin' love and adore this series. And that's sayin' something, because I usually don't typically read dragon shifter books. I just haven't found one that really stuck until Coreene Callahan's Dragonfury Series.

I have to say that as far as reading these books, it's best to do them in order, as things going on in the plot tend to build upon past events.

Mac's life has been irrevocably changed the night he was exposed to Dragonkind and initially shifted into the powerful and fierce water dragon. He struggles to learn and control his new powers and how to cloak himself while in dragon form, so he can officially fight alongside his brothers--the Nightfuries.

But a memory keeps haunting him of the night he first shifted--one of a beautiful woman who came to him, fed him, and --Oh Yeah--had amazing hot sex with him. And when he senses that Tania is in danger, he has to go save her.

Tania Solares is still trying to find out what happened to her best friend, Myst. She has tried several times to get in contact with Detective "Mac" MacCord, with no results. On her way to visit her sister, who is in prison, she (and her car) are attacked by a dragon. The whole situation turns her world upside down and with a serious case of what-the-fuck-itis. But when the dragon who saves her turns out to be the detective she's been wanting to talk to, things get even more complicated. The re-occurring dreams of a sexy stranger are somehow connected to Mac and she soon realizes that they have been very intimate together once.

There are also other secondary plots happening in Fury of Seduction--one involving the Razorbacks and the Archguard. New characters come into play and I can see a whole lot of future shit hitting the fan. There is a dark underworld exposed with corrupt leaders and new Nightfury dragons are introduced. And of course, there is Ivar, in the thick of it, stirring trouble and wanting to demolish humankind with a deadly virus. The leader of the Razorbacks is still trying to increase his number of captured high-energy females and he wants Tania to be a part of his deranged plans. He'll do anything to stop the Nightfuries, even solicit help from a dangerous dragon who has a secret connection to Mac.

Why I love this book:

1. Addictive characters: Mac is uber sexy, charming, funny, and is one kick-ass male. Venom and Wic got some serious hotness factor as well and I cannot wait to see what happens with these two.
2. A lot of twists and turns that leave me wanting to know what will happen next.
3. An introduction of new characters that you just know will have an impact to upcoming stories: J.J. Solaris, and Grace von Ziger, Nian, to name a few.
4. Sexy good times with a scorching hot factor.
She gasped as her shoulders touched the wall. Controlling her completely, he held her there while he shoved her skirt up, the red silk rose, and he caught her scent. Ready and willing. So hot for him he tasted her arousal. "Spread your legs.""What?""Playtime's over." Cupping the back of her knee, he hooked her calf over her hip. "Spread 'em."
5. The great camaraderie between the Nightfuries-their humor, their bickering, and their loyalty.

All of it--mixed together like a magical recipe -give these books, these characters, a three-dimensional depth and make an addictive read.
