Damien is used to a hard and fast life. He and two of his brothers started a band when they were fresh out of high school—then they hit the big time and stayed there. He’s also a legendary madman on the stage and in the bedroom. But when he meets Mary, something clicks, and the bad boy starts thinking he may have finally found something good.

What begins as a series of fleeting trysts soon gets much more complicated. Damien can’t figure out why Mary doesn’t want more from him. And before long, it’s Damien who wants more from Mary. But it turns out Mary is no stranger to celebrity news, and he’s got a very big job ahead of him: proving that he’s worth more than a one-night stand…

Book Review

I was a huge fan of Dane's Brown Siblings Series, so when I heard that the author was doing a spin-off of that fantastic series, my heart went ka-thud.

The strong family connections, the loyalty and devotion of friendship, and steamy sexual chemistry is present and accounted for in LUSH and fans of Lauren Dane will be well satisfied.

Mary Whaley is a very busy women who has no time for a serious relationship. But when she gets an eye-full of sexy rocker Damien Hurley, she is all about having some fun and losing herself to pleasure for just one night.

Damien is the drummer of a popular rock band and known for his sexual exploits and hard drinking ways. But when he spies Mary at a friend's home, he is instantly drawn to her. And when his feelings turn to something more serious, he has to convince her that he has put his bad-boy ways behind him.

While reading LUSH, I found myself always hungry. Mary has a passion for food and works several jobs preparing some very scrumptious dishes. And then there's the fact that Damien's mouth waters for both Mary's food and her body.

Damien falls for this devoted woman who knows exactly what she wants out of life. She's fierce, dedicated, and is always on the move, while Damien is more laid back and relaxed.  Although there are some minor differences in their personality, Damien and Mary mesh well together as they struggle to find time to be together. Living in different states makes their relationship harder than most and when Damien's past reputation rises up, Mary has to decide whether or not being with Damien is worth it.

I love the way that Dane writes her characters--with a fierce loyalty to each other and a love that shines through, even when they don't always see eye to eye. Her characters are quirky, flawed, and so relatable--it makes reading her series feel like coming home.
