There have been a lot of re-released books out there--changing their original covers in hopes of attracting a newer and bigger audience. And with it, a lot of people either love it or HATE IT. I personally love the originals. The smexy cover is what drew me in and it was the WORDS of the author that made me stay.

But I cannot completely bash the new covers--it drew in a different group of readers to that author. Ones that might not have picked up the book because of a half-naked hero sporting a rockin six-pack.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this huge debate. Take a look at the covers below. They are from Jill Shalvis's books--which if you haven't read, you are missing out.

Jill is that go-to author for me who writes a very sensual romance with fun-loving characters and she packs in the humor. I love reading and laughing with her books.

I am excited about the upcoming book in this series--Rumor Has It--it will be coming out November 5, 2013.

Do you think that the new covers change whether you will buy the book or not? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear your answer. Also, vote for your favorite cover in the Animal Magnetism series by Jill Shalvis

  1. I like the original cover to Animal Magnetism, I think it fits the title better.

Now the second book Animal attraction, I kinda like both :) they both fit the title.

    1. Sharonda~
Thanks for stopping by and reading this post.
And I totally agree with you.
I like the re:released cover of Animal Attraction:)
      Have a great Monday ~

  2. I prefer the ones with shirtless men on them. ;)
The cover won't stop me from reading them. It may not catch my eye though, so I may pass it up if it is an author that I have not read before.
I haven't read any of her books, but I will have to check them out. I have seen that they are popular books.
Do you have a recommendation for me?

    1. Tina, Usually, I do, too :)
But I do like the cover of Animal Attraction re:released better than original.
      As far as rec's go....Hmmm....
First off, here's her Goodreads link--

Secondly, it depends if you like more romantic suspense or not.
My faves have been the Lucky Harbor Series--and must be read in order. And the Animal Magnetism series. She also writes for Harlequin Blaze and has several titles there.

They are not erotic, but more steamy sensual romance and I love her humor. Hope this helps--and let me know what you think!

I love getting comments...tell me what you thought of my post!
