Nobody messes with Sam Clayton--or his territory. The big bruising ranger is the last line of defense in forest infernos and he'll go up against anyone who gets in the way of putting them out. Even the FBI tracking a terrorist through the heart of a blaze. But when Sam discovers the agent is ex-lover Olivia Albert, saving himself will be more dangerous than any fire he's faced before. . .

She Lives For The Heat. . .

Olivia needs Sam's help to survive the heat, but when it comes to keeping her quarry from detonating a major strike, this Bureau agent is calling the shots. Except when Sam's hard body and expert hands are reigniting a second chance that could be hot enough to burn forever. . .

Book Review

Reburn starts out hot--with a fire blazing across the Sequoia National Park. Park Ranger Sam Clayton is battling the flames with his men when he's informed the FBI are searching for a dangerous fugitive...directly in the path of the raging inferno. Determined to keep his men safe, Sam heads out to find the agent traversing the wood and finds out it is his ex-lover, Olivia Albert.

It's hard to give a lot of depth to characters with a novella, but Marsh does a decent job explaining how Sam and Olivia met up ten years ago and had a summer fling. Truthfully, I would have loved to have seen this as a full length novel that showed Olivia and Sam after the fire, but I think that as it is, Reburn delivers a fast-paced read with a lot of action. Although some aspects fall into unrealistic as the once lovers reconnect with a few steamy moments while a fire rages around them, there is no denying the sexual chemistry between Olivia and Sam. I just think it would have been delivered better if their reunion took place after all the smoke cleared...so to speak.
