Book Review

SHEER. EXHILARATION.

You know when you read a series and the last book just...doesn't do it for you? And leaves you feeling disappointed?

Yeah--you won't be feeling any of that with Karina's latest, Bold Tricks.

I LOVE THIS FREAKING SERIES!

I have no clue where to start with this review, I'm a jumbled mess. Also, I don't want to give anything away, cause that would just suck.

First off--The Artists Trilogy is a series that MUST be read in order. So don't jump ahead--it will positively ruin the experience and the journey.

Ellie, Camden, and Javier have seemingly come together for a purpose. And that purpose is different for all three characters. Javier wants to take over Travis's position as the drug cartel leader, Ellie wants to find Gus and her mother, and exact revenge on the man who left her scarred. And Camden wants to get his son back.

But can Ellie and Camden afford to trust the somewhat slimy Javier in the process?

Truth and lies. Retribution and secrets. Sex and danger. All of these are part of Halle's kick-ass world as everything starts to unravel around Ellie as she faces off a dangerous enemy and a jilted lover.

And then there's Camden. Sigh. The sexy, tatted hero. The man who sees Ellie more clearly than anyone. The man who is her moon, her heart, her very soul. Can he find it in himself to forgive Ellie for turning to Javier during a weak moment? Or is there no chance at happiness for Ellie?

Kalle's writing is raw and edgy and that's what I love about it. She colors her world with a richness and vitality that leaps off the pages. Her heroes (and heroines) are complicated and flawed. Bold Tricks finishes Ellie's story with  a endearing epilogue that soothes the reader's soul after such a heart wrenching pilgrimage across Mexico.

SHEER. PERFECTION.

  1. Awesome Review babe. I also had a hard reviewing Bold Tricks so hard to no give anything away. Best Ending to a outstanding series. I was not on any team loved them both and went into Bold Tricks. happy with who ever she picked. Glad she picked who she did because for me it flowed with the story. Loved the direction the characters went and the epilogue was perfect. Finally got my review up.

I lurved the ending and was happy with it. Hate it when you read an entire series and the ending blows.
