Books, Books, Books!

I received my shipment of books today that I got at the 2011 RWA Convention--and squeed like a little girl. It gave me a rush and I felt like I was back at the Marriott Marquis re-experiening all the excitement of that week.

I thought I would start off with the books that were not autographed, as that was the smallest pile.
Here are the books that I will be giving away:

Mary Balogh ~ A Secret Affair ( 2 copies)
Grace Burrows ~ The Heir (2 copies )
Kristina Douglas ~ Raziel (2 copies)
Amy Garvey ~ (Tradeback-ARC)
Rachel Gibson ~ I'm In No Mood For Love (not a book from RWA, but a goodie I bought for you).
Madeline Hunter ~ Ravishing In Red
Madeline Hunter ~ Provoactive In Pearls
Julia Kagawa ~ The Iron King ( Teen Tradeback)
Sherrilyn Kenyon ~ No Mercy
Julia Quinn ~ The Duke and I
Paulina Simons ~ The Summer Garden (Tradeback)
Mariah Stewart ~ Coming Home (2 copies)

So which book should I start the contest with? Any suggestions?  I would love to hear from you and find out which one of these books you want the most....

Comment and let me know. The ones with the most responses will begin our giveaway.  You can post up to Friday, July 8, 2011--no later than 8 p.m (Eastern Time).   Winner will be announced on Monday July 11, 2011.  The rules of the contest will posted that Monday as well.

Good luck--and let's have some fun!

  1. Most of these authors I haven't read before. I've never read Mary Balogh though I do have one of her books in my TBR pile.

I have read Madeline Hunter but not those books. Sherrilyn Kenyon's No Mercy, well since it's Dev, I bought my hardback on it's release day which was my birthday and hubby bought me the paperback for Mother's Day.

The Duke and I is such a wonderful story. Simon. Ahhh.

So I'm not sure what to suggest for a contest.

  2. RAO---you are no help! LOL. Madeline Hunter spoke at one of the luncheons at the RWA and she was FABULOUS! Very inspiring.
I just discovered an error...have to go change it--but the Amy Garvey book is called 'Cold Kiss' and its a Young Adult. It sounded very intriguing.

  3. I love Madeline Hunter, but have already purchased and read the series these are from. Loved the series!! I am reading a Mary Balogh book right now. Both these authors are great!! As for me, I would like to win and read: The Duke and I.

  4. * Evil grin * Sorry!!

Brenda - The Duke and I is an excellent book, the start of the Bridgerton's. I still, to this day, remember reading it and laughing my butt off in bed which got me odd looks from my husband. Still wanna huggle Simon

  6. Thanks Maria! I felt very blessed to be able to attend the RWA and wanted some of my followers and friends to get some of the goodies. Plus, I am a HUGE book pimp--I love to pass on good authors and good books. Thanks for the reply...I can't wait to see others response to this.

My vote goes to Raziel by Christina Douglas. I'd love to win that one.

  11. Sheree--the cover of Kristina's book does things to my girly bits for sure, lol.
Linda--I have to admit I haven't read either author (Quinn and Burrows)-but I might have to do that, since so many have told me how wonderful they are.

  14. I'd love to try Kristina Douglas's book Raziel. Sounds interesting. Also, wouldn't mind Sherrilyn Kenyon's No Mercy. Is it sad that I haven't read that one yet? I can't even remember if I have it. lol

  16. Meg--I can understand if you haven't read No Mercy yet...I have so many that I want to read, and just don't have the time. There are so MANY good books out there. I wish there was a way that I could get paid to read.
Julie...I love sharing my passion of books. Thanks ladies for your input!

  18. Terry,
LOVE LOVE LOVE Kenyon- She is super sweet and STUNNING in person. Her jacket picture doesn't do her justice. I will post the autographed books later on this week-end and maybe you will recognize a few of those.
