18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines. How to join in:

-Make a separate post for the 18 & Over Book Blogger Follow on your blog.
-Copy the button above and place it at the top of your post.
-List & answer the ‘Question of the Week.’
-Place your name and blog title in the linky over on RBTW's blog post along with the URL for a direct link to your post.
-Visit the other blogs on the list and say 'Hi!' Following each blog is not mandatory but I know it is always appreciated, and if someone comments saying they’re a new follower it’s polite to follow back. It’s always nice to spread the 18 & Over Book Blogging love!-Contact Crystal at readingbetweenthewines10@gmail.com with any questions!
Question of the Week:
Do you, or have you ever, purchased a book solely based on it's cover alone?
Uh, yeah...guilty. Sometimes I get the shaft (snicker) and the book is a total bomb, but sometimes I pick a winner.
Example:
Laura Kaye-Hearts In Darkness |
How about you? Have you been lucky with a cover purchase, or were you left starting at the cover because the book didn't live up to it's potential? Leave me a comment-I'd love to hear from you!
I've had both. I have had some super smoking hot covers leave all the hotness on the cover but Ive been fortunate and those are few and far between. I'm a cover-art smut :) I haven't read this book but it looks great!! And your right, Larissa is an awesome read! I miss her Demonica series but the Rider series rocks too!

DeleteI know what you mean, and it sucks to be disappointed with the read. I love black-and-white covers more so than color, I don't know why. It just draws my eye more.
Larissa is an auto-buy for me. I met her this past year at RWA and she is super sweet. AND very tall, lol.
I'm totally guilty of it... love me a cover with some AB on it. *growls*
ReplyDeleteNew Follower!!
Marie, Thanks for the new follow :) and the comment love. We cover HOORS must stick together.
DeleteHave a great weekend!
Never heard of this book but I will def. look it up. Totally off subject, I noticed you are reading Fever. I cannot wait to hear what you thought about it.
ReplyDeleteHearts in Darkness was a really great intense read for me. It was my very first review on here.
DeleteFever was super-freakin' fantastic: I finished it yesterday. I plan to write my review this weekend and post it this week. I am also gonna do a Q&A with the author, Joan. Keep your eyes opened! Have a great weekend! And thanks for stopping by.
I still need to pick this one up, it's on my Nook wish list though! I'm totally guilty of being a cover hussy but luckily I've only had one bad read from picking a book by it's cover.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the follow!
Crystal ~
DeleteThanks for stopping over and let me know if you get Hearts in Darkness...
