I have found the perfect drink while reading this book--
Black Magic
1 ounce Vodka
1 ounce Coffee Liqueur
1 dash Lemon Juice
Stir and serve in an old-fashioned glass over ice. Garnish with a twist of a lemon peel.

Voodoo Juice
Quantities for one drink:
•1 oz Orange Rum (Cruzan)
•1 oz Banana Rum (Cruzan)
•1 oz Coconut Rum (Cruzan)
•1 oz Pineapple Rum (Cruzan)
•1 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice
•1 1/2 oz Orange Juice
•1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice
•1/2 oz Dark Rum (Cruzan)
Blending Instructions:
•Pour over ice in a hurricane class
•Float dark rum on top and serve

My favorite drink is actually a shooter, but trust me, it qualifies as a drink. I was bartender for a long time and this was one of my favorites to suggest and drink. This drink also reminds me of Algiarept, the demon that is consistently growing on me.

1/2 oz. of Midori
splash of sweet & sour
1/2 oz. of Chambord
1/2 oz. of Jaegermeister
Add first 2 ingredients w/ice to shaker and strain into glass(shot or martini). Slowly pour Chambord down side of glass. Chambord will sink to the bottom. Slowly pour Jaeger on side of the glass. Jaeger will float on the top and the drink will be 3 layered. Red on the bottom, green in the middle and brown/black on the top.

Not really much of a drinker so I don't know clever drink recipes. May have to save these recipes and send them down to my brother in SC. Last time I was there he was saving all kinds of drink recipes to try.

DeleteI don't drink that much or that often either-you have to stay pretty alert and sober with two kids running around. But watch out at AAD this summer in New Orleans :)
My favorite is sangria, mixed berry, red apple, etc.

My fave Daiquiri is Peach--I make them homemade with real pieces of peach-which I think is the Bomb! I also use Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum...it makes ALL the diference :)
