18 AND OVER BOOK BLOGGER FOLLOW

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

How to join in:

-You should run a book blog that features and reviews mostly adult reads, some Y.A.’s are okay but 18 & over adult reads should be your majority.

-Make a separate post for the 18 & Over Book Blogger Follow on your blog.

-Copy the image above and place it at the top of your post.

-List & answer the ‘Question of the Week.’

-Place your name and blog title in the linky over on RBtW's blog post with your URL for a direct link to your post.

-Visit the other blogs on the list and say 'Hi!' Following each blog is not mandatory but I know it is always appreciated, and if someone comments saying they’re a new follower it’s polite to follow back.  It’s always nice to spread the 18 & Over Book Blogging love!

-Contact Crystal at readingbetweenthewines10@gmail.com with any questions!

Question of the week

Has a book ever left you feeling depressed? If so, make sure to share what it was and why.

Oh, Yeah--I have read a few books that have depressed me...and the one that comes front and center for me, is a Young Adult book.

I sobbed buckets during reading this book and sobbed even harder after I finished. GAH--it ripped my heart out, squeezed it, and left me feeling all sorts of empty after the last page. I don't want to tell too much about it, because it comes near the end, and it will totally ruin the book. Just get your tissues ready when you are reading it.

On the more adult side...Tymber Dalton knocked me to my knees with her book, The Reluctant Dom.

Again, the water works turned on full blast as I read. My mother commented as I was reading it...and I sobbed, "This book is soooo good".

Here is a blurb of The Reluctant Dom:

Love hurts...if you're lucky. Kaden knows he's dying, but before he goes, he has one problem he needs to solve - he must ask his oldest friend Seth to take over as his beloved wife's Dom and Master after his death. Seth has always seen himself as the perpetual screw-up and Kaden as the strong and steady one, so his friend's request rocks his world. Now Seth finds himself immersed in a role he's far from comfortable with: inflicting pain to provide emotional comfort for the woman he's secretly loved for years. Can he deal with his crushing grief and learn the skills he must master in time to become THE RELUCTANT DOM?

Lastly, this next book is really hard for some to read. The torture of the main character, Acheron, is difficult to read at times....but as a reader, I couldn't stop.  I was happy to FINALLY get Acheron's story, but damn, was it horrible to see what he went through and how unworthy he felt.

What about you? What book made you feel depressed after finishing?

That book stayed with me for a long long time after reading it!! It was a great book and I would definitely recommend it but UGH I could never read it again--it was just to heart and soul wrenching for me!!!

You are too kind! I'm glad you love my blog. It's hard to try to keep it fresh with new covers and such, as I am the only one working on it. Plus, I am not that computer savvy :)
The Reluctant Dom is one of my all time fave reads--and yeah, I don't think I could read it again, either.
Thanks for stopping and commenting :) Have a great weekend.

You sincerely made my friggin day! Thanks for the nice comment about my blog. I really, REALLY, try to make it look appealing to my followers. So hearing that you love it, makes me smile hard.
      I haven't read Sherrilyn's Dream ones...just the Dark Hunters.
I have Nalini's first Guild Hunter books in audio...plan to get to it very soon. I've heard great things about it. I hope the audio is good. I tend to like audio with men narrarating more than women--go fig :)
Hope you have a super fantastic Sunday!
And YES---The Reluctant Dom affected me so harshly with emotions and tears. But a great read, none the less.

  6. I can't wait to get to Acheron's story, especially now. I have't read your other picks though I've noticed that for me YA reads are more depressing.

Thanks for participating in the follow!
