This week's question:

With all the great releases out this month, which has been the one you have clicked up first, and which has surprised you the most?"

Answer:  First off, ladies--Damn, you make me think too hard first thing in the morning. This requires my Goodreads account, since my memory is like Swiss cheese....

I'll start out with the easier of the two questions--The book that surprised me the most this month was Nexus by C.L. Parker. I did NOT expect the twist at the end **zips lips** and cried like crazy. She really wrung out all my emotions with her ending. Just--WOW! It is being released today BTW, so congrats, C.L.!!!!!

The One that I couldn't wait for....Run The Risk by Lori Foster. She is an auto-buy for me because I am almost NEVER disappointed in her books. She has such great characters that are sooooo lovable.

What about you? Please tell me -- I love to find out about books that I missed!

This week's question:

"Where's your favorite place to read"

When the weather is perfect: not too hot, not too cold...I love to read from my front porch. It is my haven. My own little piece of paradise. I sit here early every morning with a hot cup of coffee and either a paperback or my kindle.

My other favorite place is in my bed--under the covers (hah) and snugly warm, especially when it's cold outside.

And sometimes, late at night, when I have insomnia and can't sleep--I'll lay on the couch and lose myself in a good story.

My front porch

What about you? Where is your favorite place to read?

This week's question:

"It's blogger appreciation week...tell us which bloggers/reviewers would you like to meet in person?"

I religiously follow only a few great blogs, and there are a handful of great peeps out there that I would lurve to meet. In fact, if I was filthy stinkin' rich, I'd rent an island for a long weekend getaway, host a kick-ass party, and invite a shit load of great book bloggers out there. As well as a few favorite authors and er...male cover models to, ya know, model for us. It'd be a no-holds barred weekend where it'd be like VEGAS--if ya know what I mean, lol.

But you asked for one--so here ya go!

Francesca is my peanut butter to my jelly. And if you have no freakin' clue who I am talking about, you should jump over to UNDER THE COVERS and check her out.

While you're there, check out the other fan-tab-u-lous ladies ( Ann, Suz, and Angela).  They are 4 uniquely, funny ladies that have great posts, fantastic giveaways, memes, and reviews.

We (Francesca and I), more times than naught, share the same lurve for the same books. Anything she raves about, I pick up and read. And she has just recently turned me on to Damon Suede, author of Hot Head (to name one of his books), and I was soooooooooo in lurve with his characters. HAWT, HAWT, HAWT, indeedy!

We also chat on the phone sometimes and I must say her New York accent is ADORABLE. She makes me laugh and has been somewhat of a mentor for me for my own blog.

In 3 simple words---YOU ROCK, FRANCESCA!!

How about you? Who would you love to meet? I'm dying to know ~

This week's question:

"What is your take on anthologies? Love them? Hate them? And what is the last anthology you've read and enjoyed?"

Well, Hell--somehow the day got ahead of me and left me in a cloud of dust. So my posting is a wee bit late.
My bad.

I had to look at my Goodreads account to see what I read last that was an anthology:

'

I typically don't purchase them-but if it's a fave author, like Lori Foster, I will pick them up.

In fact, today I bought this book:

Why? Well, it has 2 of my fave authors:  Jill Shalvis and Roxanne St. Claire. Can't go wrong with those 2 ladies.  Also, I am a sucker for Ireland.

This little goodie is still in my TBR pile and hopefully, I'll be able to get to it soon:

What about you?

I'd love to hear your comments about anthologies.

This week's question:

"Book abuse! What's the worst thing you've done to a book?"

Answer:

Hmmm...As a kid, I wasn't all that kind to books. But now, as an adult, I have a deep respect for them. I cringe at the thought that I used to just throw away (GASP) books whenever I  moved, instead of donating them or giving them to Goodwill. So that is the worse I have ever done. **Hangs head in shame.

And looking at the ladies of UTC--some of their responses are similar to mine.

Francesca: Yep. I'm a roller--it saves on wear and tear of a book. I used to bend the book (GAH) and that ended up breaking the spine.

Annie: Yep--Faefever was a hardback that I did throw across the room. Also threw Breaking Dawn across the room when the honeymoon scene severely disappointed me. "WTF?! This is a YA Book? GAH!!"

Suzanne: I used to dog ear pages too, but now I use a bookmark when I remember. What I AM bad about is resting the book opened to where I am at....which isn't so good on the spine either.

Angela:  I have sticky noted an ARC once-- but now I usually get ARC's on my kindle. I LURVE and ADORE the highlight feature. Saves on sticky notes and wear and tear.

Hate me?

Share with me your DLS!

This week's question:

"With so many great books out and about, are your bookcases super organized or are your books scattered all over the place? We'll show you ours, now show us yours"

Answer:
Right now, I am in the process of trying to move. My house in on the market and some stuff I have packed. Funny story -- I ran out of boxes and have packed 10 boxes with my paperback/hardback books and ran out. With the pictures being taken, I had to get my books hidden, so that they wouldn't be in the photos.

So I had to improvise-- drawers come in handy when you're desperate !!

So now it's your turn to show me your Dirty Little Secret!

This week's question:

"All your favourite characters and celebs have been entered into the SEXY OLYMPICS! Who would win your Gold, Silver and Bronze and why"

Pick only characters from books you've read THIS year.

OH, hell yeah--A question that I can get jiggy with, lol.

Okay--I know I repeat myself with my first character, but dammit--he's just too hawt for words.

Gold Medalist ~ Lothaire
Why?
Best blow job scene--EVER.
"Lick the tip".....GAH!

Silver Medalist ~ Reid Andrews

I just finished this book yesterday-and man is Reid ever more delish with a capitol "D".  The man has it all-the perfect package- (dirty minds went to THAT package first, I bet). He's an MMA fighter who loves dirty talk. He's sensitive, artistic, and sweet. And 'ALL ABOUT THE WOMAN' in the bedroom-or living room, or against the wall...any wall...

Bronze Medalist ~ Gideon Cross  Gideon is yum yum for the tum tum. He's Dark, He's dominating, and I want to know more about this mysterious man. Hurry, Sylvia...

Other contenders:
Reyes ~ Third Grave Dead Ahead -- Darynda Jones
Reid Jamison ~ Crash Into You -- Roni Loren
Julian Darcangelo ~ Hard Evidence -- Pamela Clare
Adam Montague ~ Nobody's Hero -- Kallypso Masters
Rio Bezara ~ Echoes At Dawn -- Maya Banks
Brian Ross ~ Rock Me -- Cherie Lynn
Dane Croft ~ The Girl's Guide to (Man) Hunting - Jessica Clare

Yeah, I'm a bit of a man 'ho...I have way too many favorites, lol.

Now it's your turn to share your DLS!

This week's question:
If you could replace the heroine in a scene with yourself, which scene would you pick and why?

WOW-there are a ton of them. But to pick just one, I'd have to say Elizabeth (Ellie) from Lothaire. Chapter 33.

"Come to me," he ordered her. "Sit on the edge of the bed."
Once she did, he took his shaft in hand, easing it to her mouth. "Lick the tip."
Okey Dokey.

Those three words...GAH...***head to desk, repeat.*** And listening to Lothaire's Russian accent as he huskily says this? I swear, my toes are still curled in remembrance. Seriously.

What about you? What's your Dirty Little Secret?

This week's question:

If your dream man was in your clutches, a pack of condoms (and any other accoutrements you may need!) and some saucy underwear on what would be the first fantasy you and your hunk played out? And who would your dream man be?

My Answer:

That would be me in the middle.  And the two guys would be V and Butch...and we would never leave that bed.

What''s your dream man and fantasy?

Do tell...

This week's question:

What book have you read recently that has surprised you (good or bad!), or that has been outside your normal reading genre?

First off, I try NOT to read out of genre. Not to say that I haven't ever done that. My least fave genre is historical. Which is quite funny, cause that was what I grew up reading ( The Wolf and the Dove, The Velvet Promise, Shanna, etc...).

Also, I don't like to call attention to books that **whispers**I didn't quite enjoy. Writing is hard. And I never want to bad mouth an author's work--it just doesn't seem professional as a blogger. I try to give constructive criticism and never bash.

How about I use the word disappointing?  That sounds better.

And I'll go even one step further and offer you one good and one disappointing.

The Wolf Who Loved Me ~This is an historical book that I surprisingly enjoyed and laughed while reading. I will most definitely read a Lydia Dare historical romance.

Matthew ~This book was a disappointment for me. Yes, it was also an historical, but I typically love reading this author. She has written under another name, Beth Williamson--and I have been pleased with the books I have read by her. That is why I was so looking forward to Matthew. And it just didn't do it for me.

What about you? What book have you read recently that surprised you or left you with just feeling "meh..."

This week's question:

What books have recently made you cry?

Wow--I must be a cold hearted bitch--can't remember the last book, so I had to look at my read books over at Goodreads. I think it was Born to Darkness by Suzanne Brockmann. But it wasn't a sob fest, just a touching moment that had me all emo for a few minutes. Looking further back, I discovered Cold Kiss by Amy Garvey--a young adult book that I did cry out loud while reading the ending. And then after that, Kresley Cole's Dreams of a Dark Warrior was a tear jerker as well. (both read in Dec 2011)

What about you ?

This week's question:

What book would you recommend to to heat up your summer?

Answer:
There are just so many delish reads out there that I would recommend, and you'd probably have to duct tape my mouth shut to stop.

Kresley Cole's IAD Series
Cherise Sinclair's Club Shadowlands
Olivia Cunning's Sinners On Tour
Shayla Black's Wicked Lovers Series

And I guess this is a perfect time to introduce a new author that I have recently discovered and love.

This week's question:
With the upcoming release of MAGIC MIKE where some of the hottest guys strip nekkid and shake their ummmm assets, we want to know YOUR fantasy cast!

If you could choose six of the hottest stars to shake their moneymakers for you, which guys would it be?

Answer:
**Rubs hands together and cackles aloud** This is a great question, btw--one I love to ponder and surf the net for to find great man porn inspiration.

1. Joe Manganiello must stay. Nekked. Hard. Ready.

2. Wentworth Miller--because he is the inspiration of my Dane in my manuscript. Plus, he has it ALL--- the lips, the eyes, THAT look that makes you spontaneously drop your panties and have no clue that you did it.

3. Ricky Martin. That boy has grown up FINE.

4. Eric Bana because I still drool over him. Gray hair or not, he still gots it.

Ian Somerhalder because, DAYUM, can that man smolder you with just a look.

Paul Walker. I had to have a blondie...LOL...after looking over my post, it seems I have a thing for dark-haired men. I had no clue, lol, that I had a 'theme' going. Wanted to shake things up a bit.

Damn, this was hard to whittle down. But I did it...barely.

Here is my line-up to peruse, drool and swoon over.

Shake Your Bon Bon...

Who makes your perfect line-up?
