Stephen has been looking for the right submissive, but hasn't found what he is looking for. But when a friend tells him that there is a girl that needs his help, he stumbles upon Brianna.

Brianna is a slave and has been owned by a sadistic man who knows nothing about the true relationship of Master/slave. He uses his power to wield fear--and Brianna has been his reluctant slave in a very abusive relationship. 

Stephan plays the role as a Master looking for a slave when he rescues Brianna from the hell inside Ian's home. And he brings her home with no idea how to show this young woman she is more than what she has suffered at the hands of a sadistic bastard.

This story is slow, but has to be, as Stephan tries to reach out to Brianna and salve Brianna broken and battered soul. Theirs is a tale of the dynamics of how a true BDSM relationship works, as Stephan works on building trust with Brianna. 

With switching POV's (Stephan and Brianna), this story is heart wrenching, showcasing the difficulties that both characters endure to build a foundation. This is not an erotic BDSM story filled with sensual delights, but a telling of how two people should enter any relationship. 

With baby steps. With trust. And with patience. 

And Slave is only the beginning of both Stephan and Brianna's story. 

I cannot wait to check out book two, Need, in the Finding Anna trilogy.

I love Cherise's writing and this series. All of the Masters has made me a very happy reader! Although, I still have a special place in my heart for Cullen.
