They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, Regan Matthews, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he's about to become a father.

Demon-slayer Regan Matthews never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted-a family.

Book Review

The much anticipated Lethal Rider picks up eight months after Regan's betrayal and Thanatos is hell bent on revenge. He 'awakens' and kidnaps the pregnant Regan, stealing her to his island, and promising to make her pay.

Regan, a member of the Aegi, has tricked Than out of his virginity and now heavy with his child. A child she has very conflicting emotions about. A child whose death can bring the fatal destruction of mankind or be its savior.

Larissa does a superb job of showing a different side to Regan than we saw in book two, Immortal Rider. We also see a more tender side of Thanatos, known for his killing rages and the deadly souls that live inside him.

Reaver is back and the Watcher has his hands full with Harvester and Gethel--and somebody is not who they seem. Traitors abound in Lethal Rider, and it sometimes had my head spinning trying to keep up with the influx of names of the daywalkers vs nightcrawlers.

There are glimpses of Reseph's past that shows how the Horseman used to be and Than comes to realize that his brother cannot be saved, his Seal permanently broken. I wish we got to see more than a snippet or two of this bad-ass Horseman. He truly makes such a nasty villain

I must admit, I was very curious on how things would play out in this book. Larissa has a big job ahead of her-redeeming Pestilence, er...Reseph...and having the reader feel for a hero that seems impossible to redeem. She is the Queen of world building, I swear I don't know how she does it.  But she does it well.

The beginning of Lethal Rider moves slow-almost too slow at times, at least for me. Sometimes I think when a reader is in love a with a series so much--as I am with this one--and anticipating a book for so long, it can sometimes get in the way of truly enjoying the story. I expected fast-paced action immediately, but that came more near the end. Then, I started chewing on my nails, lol.

There is just too much risk in spoiling this book, which I loathe do to, so just know that some things are revealed and some things leave you breathless for more. Larissa leaves the reader with a blurb of Rough Rider to whet the appetite and now we must wait...again...for the final Lords Of Deliverance-Rough Rider.

My Delicious Pick:

LETHAL RIDER ~ Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, Regan Cooper, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he's about to become a father. Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted-a family.

Really, what is NOT to love? You have a tatted hero? Check. Scruffy-scruff on the face? Check. Shirtless? Yes, OH, Yes, Check. Nice ripped abdomen? And how, Check. Pretty, lickable man-nipples? .....excuse me, I have to stick my head in the freezer. I think I may have spontaneously imploded my girly bits.

Thanos and Regan are both fighters. And both face what seems insurmountable odds. These two fit together perfectly and have been an exciting read!

The writing and dialogue in Lethal Rider is down right explosive, laugh-out-loud, swoon worthy---everything I love and crave in a book.
“Crazy? try ceiling-licking, rabies-frothing, dish-ran-away-with-the-spoon-in-fucking-sane." -- Thanatos
Annnnd that is an apt description of how I feel when waiting for Reseph's story, lol. (Book Four, Rouge Rider ~ Expected release December 2012).
